I always get them, but for some reason I didn't get this one yet...
    I dunno.
I have my email registered with at least 3 different "official" Vikings sites.
So I seem to get more emails than you guys.
Some of them (like the "Have you seen the new Vikings.com??") I get multiple copies sent to me.

I think I have always gotten the emails that you have.
I wonder if this time there was just a bug in the system.
Oh well, I will be keeping my eyes on the mailbox anyway!

I'm not sure I understand the rational behind this.
I wonder if I'll get an email offering me extra tix for the Packers game.
Might buy a couple and resell them for big profit.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

I get that part of it - but with a season-ticket base 20,000 less than capacity, that's a helluvalot to make up to avoid blackouts.

That is fucked up thinking by the Vikings organization & comes off as a big "screw you Vikings fans who don't buy season tickets"

So now instead of having to buy just a preseason ticket at full face value along with a Packers or Bears game ticket to be able to see them play, one has to buy all 9 other games or they get nothing? WTF?

With todays economy & with many fans not being able to afford season tickets this year, that's a big slap in the face to Vikings fans everywhere. That's not a very good marketing strategy IMO. Many fans can't attend every game & therefore don't buy season tickets.

Looks like I'll be forced by the Vikings to be watching those two games at home now.

Did you even read the article?

“We will continue to gauge fan interest and get the sales process underway. We continue to renew season-ticket orders. That process has taken longer than in the past years. We are actively working through our renewal transactions and will re-address those two games down the road.”
Single game tickets for those two games (or most like 2 game packages including a preseason ticket for each) will eventually go on sale - just not on Monday with the rest.
If you want my honest opinion, they will go on sale about a week after Fav-re is signed.

Why would there need to be a delay? If they sell, they sell. It's not like they are going to get more money for them a week later.

I would think more Vikings fans would buy them than Packer/Favre fans would if they went on sale without knowing if Favre will be signing or not.

If they wait until after they announce Favre will sign, a shitload of Packer fans & Favre Bandwagoneers will be more willing &try to to buy them at that point, as will scalpers.

I think that they want to wait a week or so to encourage more season ticket sales prior to opening it up to single game tickets.
