You are correct, I didn't....this time.
I have, however, on previous calls to KFAN.

I got a good laugh from PA at one point and he referred to me as "My man".
He made a joke about the Vikings having a drawing and Spielman allowing one season-ticket-holder to make the 1st draft pick in next year's draft.
As the laughter died down, I shouted out "What kind of player are we going to get at 32?"
PA really liked that and faked as if to give me a helmet from the stage.
Didn't get it at the end of the show, however.
    LOL.

All-in-all, I really enjoyed it and am glad I went.
    That was you?
    Awesome.
I was watching it on the web cast and could hear you clear as day!
I'm on hold with PA on KFAN right now.
Going to talk about the event last night and ask where my helmet is, LOL!

Whats the new market campagne that the internet people weren't allowed to see?
Sorry - should have mentioned that.

It's called "Put On Your Horns".
We saw 3 commercials, one of which featured the PPO guy's car (who was that again?).
PA does the voice-over for them.
    Marginally funny.

    Edit:
    it was PurplePowered's car:
    http://www.purplepride.org/forums/index.php?topic=51739.msg943850#msg943850
    How were the commercials?
I have been searching the net for them but nothing yet.
    Marginally funny.
    lol.
    Thanks smart ass.
I caught that in the first post.
I was hoping for a little more description...
Shoulda come to the event, then.

1st commercial - a couple is struggling to get their couch, covered in a white sheet to prevent damage, through their front door.
PA describes the "play" and has them "calling an audible" as they flip the couch on its side and make it through the door.
Into the living room they go, setting down the couch and, voila, they pull off the sheet and it's the purple Viking couch.

2nd commercial - a guy is in his back yard grilling.
He doesn't have room for all the meat and is moving things around as PA describes the action.
He re-arranges the hot dogs and brats to have room for the burgers.
A quick shot of his sweaty head, then he closes the grill and, voila, it's a purple grill with Viking horns on it.

3rd commercial - a guy is shown working on his car in the dark garage.
He's under the car, draining the oil - but wait!
He drops the oil plug into his oil pan!
PA describes the action as a fumble!
He struggles to find it, more oil dropping out of the car and then recovers the plug as only he can.
The camera pulls back as he turns on the garage light and, voila, it's an awesome Viking hot rod!

    "Show Us Your Horns!"

    =Z=
    (Happy?)
    [/quote]

    I am.
And I woulda been there if I had a ticket.

Either way, they don't sound funny, but they still sound pretty damn cool.
Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(

I thought they were gonna take more fans questions.
Yeah, they didn't really answer a lot of questions, And the few they did answer were all hand picked.

I thought they'd at least answer some questions from the crowd that took the time to go there. But then they'd have no control over the questions that got asked.

I was disappointed & glad I didn't make the 2.5 hour drive for that.

WBL & her hubby sent in a question that got addressed though.
I sat with WBL and her hubby and was not disappointed in the least.
I had a *great* time and thought it was very cool.

The doors opened at 7pm, we ended up with seats in the 2nd row (5th row of the theater - the first 3 rows were reserved, but no one ended up sitting in them).
They had Miller Lite and MGD (and wine) for sale, so I had a beer.

About 7:15, they showed the NFL Films recap of the 2008 season.
VERY cool to see on the big screen.

Then Ragnar, Viktor, a couple of the flag guys, some cheerleaders and the Skol Line came out to warm up the crowd.
A rousing version of "SKOL Vikings!" was sung by the crowd and the show started.

Greenway was out first, then Spielman, Childress and finally Zygi.
PA made a bunch of jokes about the Favre situation and then launched into the questioning of the panel.

    No, it wasn't hard-hitting.
    I didn't expect anything hard-hitting.
But it was pretty neat, nonetheless.
The enthusiasm of all 4 of them was easy to see and feel.
I would put the crowd at about 1200 - no clue how many people the State Theater seats.

Mars will be disappointed that there weren't any giveaways.

They only did 3 questions from season-ticket-holders.
The last question, about expanding the schedule from 16 to 17 or 18 games was from WBL and her hubby.

I got a good laugh from PA at one point and he referred to me as "My man".

Awesome...yeah probably something that would've been better in person. I heard your joke last night and on the radio this morning but didn't know either one was you til now lol. That's pretty damn cool
    Skol Vikings! Go Cubs!
