Scott Pleads guilty

Ex-Vikings DL Scott admits endangering 2-year-old

MINNEAPOLIS -- Former Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Darrion Scott pleaded guilty Monday to child endangerment for putting a plastic bag over the head of his 2-year-old son.

Scott pleaded guilty to the gross misdemeanor as jury selection was scheduled to begin in his trial.

Scott's attorney, Joe Friedberg, said the other charges will be dismissed when Scott is sentenced July 24.

You know what is even more disgusting then this? On some facebook packer groups they laugh at the situation. They say hahahaha A Viking player who actually has power over someone. It was really annoying... and he wasn't even a Viking when this happened.

On the day former Minnesota Viking Darrion Scott was to pick a jury to decide if he had assaulted and strangled his 2-year-old son, the beefy defensive end pleaded guilty to a lesser charge....

Darrion Scott, who called putting a bag over a toddler's head "stupid and reckless," had assault charges dropped and he likely won't go to jail.

I can understand trash talk but that just crosses a line when a child in a situation like this is involved. I was downtown yesterday and was driving by the courthouse and wondering what all of the media trucks were doing there. I didn't realize it until afterwords

Got to give the packer fans credit, crayon pictures are extremely awesome.

Re: Scott Pleads guilty

Police got involved April 26 when Dillon told them she went to Scott's Eden Prairie home to pick up her son and found Scott holding a plastic dry-cleaning bag over the youth's head. The woman told police Scott had the bag twisted at the side of the youth's neck and was holding it tight.
I am starting to wonder if this was an attempt by her to get back at him for something. It has happened before.

I would like to know what the kid has to say.
