Was it a safety?
I was at the game and only got one replay, it looked to me like it was a safety on Kitna.....I'm sure Fox showed a few angles...was it a safety?

Re: Was it a safety?
Based on the angles I saw it sure looked like it.
That play should have been challenged IMO.
The game made a turn toward the Lions favor after that call.
It was worth a challenge.

I completely agree on the challenge question. It seemed to me both live with my Binoculars and on the replay on the scoreboard he hit the pylon as he went out.....worth a challenge for sure.

Re: Was it a safety?
There was one angle where, I feel, his right foot stepped on the sideline out-of-bounds line, BEFORE the ball ever even came close to being near the endzone line or pylon.
Yes, the momentum of the game did very much turn after that play.

Re: Was it a safety?
Even if he got out by a fraction of an inch, he never got close to where they spoted the ball. It appeared they spotted the ball on the 2 YL

Re: Was it a safety?
I felt there should have been a challange. The replays on Fox were not conclusive though so it probably would have stood.

Yes, the momentum of the game did very much turn after that play.
If you remember, it was the no call on the safety, a short pass and then they punted. But the punt was the one that MeMo fumbled....so that was a HUGE swing.
I thought the refs did a great job today even with that call though. It was a pretty fairly referreed game.

Re: Was it a safety?
I thought it went right over the pylon on the far back corner.
It was close.
I don't think it went over the goal line on the inside of the pylon.
It depends on the rule, which I don't know.
So I am going to shut up now.

From the replay they showed on the megatron & it was a nice overhead shot of the play, it appeared he was out of bounds before he reached the line."Prophet" wrote:

Rastak, speaking of replays on the megatron, did it appear to you they showed damn few replays also?
