As a rookie in 2006, Vikings second-round draft choice Ryan Cook experienced the gamut of NFL roster status. He was inactive for ten games, played in six contests and then notched three starts toward the end of last year's campaign....

Re: Ryan Cook - Settling In
Good to hear. After four Organized Team Activities (OTAs) last week and four mini-camp sessions so far this weekend, it seems Cook is settling in nicely with the first team at right tackle.
I hope that Hicks has improved since last year. It's a bit scary thinking he's the best guy we have right now at that position."I think still we have to find the best guys that are going to help us. Right now it's Artis and Ryan Cook that are penciled in there, but we're looking at Anthony Herrera and Marcus Johnson and those guys are still competing."

well if his move from C to Tackle as well as Birks move from T to Center. He could be a anchor on the right side for many seasons.

Re: Ryan Cook - Settling In
I think Cook did well at the end of the season overall he made some mistakes but what rookie doesn't.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

i think he was a bit "over-drafted", but he's proving to be a very versatile player, and someone who can only get better.
My question is this though:
If he was inactive for 10 games, played in 6, and also started 3 more...when did the Vikings play a 19 game schedule

Once again, I'm a big supporter of Ryan Cook and wish him the best. I'm looking forward to seeing him play in purple for years to come. He'll prove to be a valuable pick in time, believe me.
Even babies know the difference.
