Thread: Rushing Offense and Defense

Vikings just passed Pittsburgh for the the number one rush defense on the year.
We all knew this was going to happen seeing as we had only given up 4 more rushing yards than them going into this week.

It will be tough to hold onto that spot with the Falcons and the Giants coming in the next two weeks, seeing as they're now tied best rushing offense with 2082 yards on the season.
Vikings are now 3rd with 2067.

With our Run D and MVPeterson running the ball, I think we finish number one in both categories this year.

I know these stats don't really matter compared to our overall record (which is looking pretty good right now), but it's still something to be proud of.

Always great to lead the league in something.
I just wish it could be rushing again too.
We have the chance to do that next week, With Jacobs out, NY will take a hit, and if we hold Turner, we can do it.

Just noticed that after spending most of the season behind Pittsburg in yds per game allowed we have regained our spot as #1 in the nfl. In week 15 the Steelers gave up 112 yards rushing and the vikings 43.

It's always nice to be #1 in any catagory.....I noticed in your link, we are also #3 in fumbles recovered.....Not bad.......

yeh just seen it awhile ago, its great. that cards game really helped our stats out abit. I remember when some people saying we wont be top 5 defense because of allen but our pass defense will improve. well look like our defense is still #1 with a way better defense

I believe we are also #1 in forced fumbles.

I hope we can hang on with Pat out for the rest of the (regular) season.
