Re: running back situation (mike tice speaking)

I'm sorry but you people who want Moore over Bennett because Bennett is injury prone have the worst reasoning ever.

You can't assume Bennett is going to get injured. You can predict it, but you can't assume. Sitting Bennett on the bench all year because we are afraid he will get injured is pointless. I would rather trade him.

The point is you start Bennett, and IF he gets injured Moore is the starter. Bennett is the better back, accept it.

Being injury-prone should have nothing to do with the decision our coaches make about who should START. It factors in when discussing who to draft or who to sign in free-agency. Like I said before sitting Bennett on the bench all year because we are afraid he will get injured is pointless.

Some here argue that Moore should start. I say we just haven't seen enough of him to say he is solid and not a fluke.

I say give Moore a chance, he deserves that! Last time they gave him a chance to play, he played spectacular....I am not worried though, he'll be in by week two....if Bennetts legs can even hold up that long before he gets injured. I have no confidence in Bennett....its not his abilities, I think he could be a top 5 back in the NFL, I just doubt he can stay healthy for an entire season.
In case you missed it, M Moore missed several games last season because of an injury so I guess he hasn't proven he can stay injury free either. MB has got to be the man.
but there is a difference , moore looked good when he got the ball . bennett did not. bennett looked scared. timid. to much stutter stepping.

Moore has his shot. It's called training camp. If Moore really is the better back he'll prove it in camp and in preseason. From what we have heard from Tice though, Bennett is proving to be the best back we have right now.

I have not posted on here in a long time, but I feel the need to voice my opinion. Yes MB is injury-prone. Yes, he usually only has 1 or 2 big runs a game. And Yes, MM is a good back. However, MM is small...he cannot bounce of defenders like MB can. In addition, he does not have the raw speed and acceleration MB has. Also, in all of the games where MB has run, those big runs have been game breakers and tide-turners (not to mention, they look GREAT on Sportscenter)........my 2 cents.
What s the difference between a Viking and Packer fan? One is not facing federal charges for viewing animal pornography and sexually assaulting animals at rural dairy farms.

MB bouncing off defenders? Umm... no. MM was knocking around Jamie Sharper in the Texans game. Do you remember that?

Yea, MB has more speed than MM, but MB doesn't hit the holes. MM hits the holes right, very consistent, and fights for every single yard.

You just proved yourself wrong in this quote. Why sit Bennett on the bench if he's capable of being a top 5 running back in the league? It would seem to me that if you have a top 5 running back, you'd start him and use your backup when your better running back is hurt. Why sit a guy on the bench, protecting him from getting hurt? It wouldn't benefit you at all, unless of course you think Moore is a top 4 running back. Your reasoning makes absolutely no sense.
