running back situation (mike tice speaking)

Q: How about your running back picture then?
A: Running backs. Well, we has two rookies miss today because of a league function which if I'm (mad) about anything, I'm (mad) about that. That they set up league things during the teams OTA days, we only get 14 of them and three of them are cut short because of charity golf tournaments that I support. You know with (Ciatrick) Fason in the group we're pretty solid. He has shown an ability to go forward. He's not a dancer, he's more of a Moe Williams-type runner. You add him to the mix and we're pretty solid in there. Obviously you're concerned about injuries, but they happen. Michael (Bennett) has had a brilliant offseason and I think is really making the competition thing for the number one job pretty much a joke really from what I've seen. We just pray that he stays healthy. I feel good about our running back situation. I wish I had the other guy, I don't and so we move forward. We're talking about how much depth we have on this football team. I think this is one of the areas we've shown we have more depth. We added more depth with Ciatrick and so you know I feel good about it. Obviously I won't feel good about it with an injury, but right now I feel good about it.

i dont know about you guys but ciatrick is looking pretty dang good to me and i cant wait to see him run!

I think he is spot on.

    Starter: MB
    Spell: MM
    3rd down: MW
    Backup: CF

Some here argue that Moore should start. I say we just haven't seen enough of him to say he is solid and not a fluke.

I think he's right...the only problem is I don't want him to start talking about depth this year, because he did that a lot last year, and we lost O, Moe, and MB for part of the season each. Don't jinx us again Tice!

I think MB is the best of the group right now unless shown otherwise. I think that Tice seems to have this position down pat and lets just hope injuries dont sneak into the mix.

I say give Moore a chance, he deserves that! Last time they gave him a chance to play, he played spectacular....I am not worried though, he'll be in by week two....if Bennetts legs can even hold up that long before he gets injured. I have no confidence in Bennett....its not his abilities, I think he could be a top 5 back in the NFL, I just doubt he can stay healthy for an entire season.

In case you missed it, M Moore missed several games last season because of an injury so I guess he hasn't proven he can stay injury free either. MB has got to be the man.
