Running back promoted
Don't really get this move, I am glad for mathis since he had a somewhat impressive preseason unless they are trying to see what the kid can do

The Vikings filled the 53rd spot on their active roster by promoting Wendell Mathis from the practice squad. Mathis is a rookie out of Fresno State. Coach Brad Childress had mentioned that spot might go to cornerback Patrick Body but Body remains on the practice squad.
The Vikings will go into Sunday’s game against St. Louis with Antoine Winfield starting at left corner and most likely rookie Charles Gordon at right corner. But that’s not certain. Defensive coordinator Mike Tomlin mentioned today that safety Dwight Smith has played corner before in his career.
That could mean Smith and Winfield at the corners and Darren Sharper and Greg Blue at the safeties. Ronyell Whitaker also likely will see some time in the nickel. No matter what happens, look for Rams QB Marc Bulger to throw about 50 times

Re: Running back promoted
Good to hear. I really liked what I saw from Mathis earlier. I hope he gets some playing time and does well.
Even babies know the difference.

Re: Running back promoted
Why not a receiver or lineman?
We have Chester, MeMo, Fason, and Pinner who have all played very well this season, is a 5th running back really necessary?
