rumor of michael haynes

i was wondering if there was any truth to the rumor i heard about the vikings being interested in michael haynes that is still on the market, a former first round pick of the bears about 4 years ago..he would fill the roster spot from james as a end..anyone know

Bring in Jay Foreman...we can always use another LB...we have plenty of guys that can play DE already!

I'll say this, your not going to replace a player like E.James from someone of a FA list or waivers, or even a practice squad...

EJ was close to being grouped with the likes of Freeley and Peppers if you ask me...

I think we will see some line changes for sure, but mostly from within the organization as it is..

Udeze will be moved over and Edwards and Scott will split time filling in...

Thank God we had depth at this position..

I also believe, we will be okay.....

If we've already got the depth, then lets use that open roster spot on J. Carter.

Also, our IR is looking pretty impressive. Got some solid players on it. Making next year that much sweeter.

They will probably have to use the spot on another end. The only ends on the roster right now ( I think ) are Udeze, Scott, and Edwards. All three will probably get a fair bit of playing time, so they really need to get another backup in my opinion.

We don't need a receiver. McMullen has performed just fine so far. Plus Childress doesn't call many 4 WR plays. Either Wiggins or Jimmy K or both are in at once.

Childress said in his press conference following the game that they may go out and get someone -- not necessarily to move right into the position but as a backup.

i agree, we wont be able to replace a player like james as i think this would of been a outstanding year for him and we lsot a impact player for the year, there isnt anyone on the FA wire or waiver wire that even comes close to james...need to add someone tho for alittle more depth incase of more injuries and i hope there isnt

I have feeling thay Ray Edwards will be a pleasant suprise this season. He will have some mental lapses but will make some great plays. There was preseason game (I think the last) where an RB hit a gap and was dancing around LBs and secondary and then just got NAILED by edwards from behind. That was just awesome!

McMullen hasn't dropped a ball yet so I doubt Carter will come out of Practice squad. We may look for an OL or kick-off specialist if there isn't any quality DEs out there.
