In sooo many ways, last year was such a waste. There were so many weapons left unused, good players left out in the cold, and new players untried. I really wished we had moved to Cassel a lot earlier so we knew what we had; heck, AD even asked for it, though there was a lot of politics going on at the time.

Rudolph didn't look as sharp last year, but then, a lot of teams realized he was Ponder's safety blanket, and they "blanketed" him to shut that down, with positive results. As such, we really don't know if Rudolph is a "elite" TE or just benefited from a scared QB going to him early and often.

I am glad Rudy likes what he sees around here. I have a funny feeling we are going to be better than most people think.

I think Zim will have the def. up to about 15th in the league with what talent he has and Norv will make our offense look better with the current QB well developing a rookie QB. I would say 9 and 7 or optimistically 10 and 6.
Go ahead back up your to close away.

Tell that to Jimmy Graham. He is hands down the most effective TE in the game, and he was SHUT DOWN in the Patriots game by Talib. Not a single catch... I know, he was my stud in fantasy Football, and I got a rock for a number that game.

Even elite WRs such as Dez Bryant and Brandon Marshall have been blanketed; but defenses usually don't do it often, as it leads to someone else being open all too often. But Ponder couldn't seem to find that open receiver, and when he could, he couldn't get the ball to him... they were safe putting Rudolph to bed, tucking him in firmly.
