Roy Williams or Holt anyone?
http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/
Seems Holt and Roy may be on the outs.
I personally like our recievers, but adding a pro bowl caliber reciever would make things so much sweeter than they already are....

Re: Roy Williams or Holt anyone?
I'd take Roy right now.
As good as Holt was, he's not the same Holt he used to be.
About ready to retire any year now.
Roy still has a few good years in him.

Re: Roy Williams or Holt anyone?
Roy has more talent upside at this point but he is also more of a selfish player with a bad attitude.
I guess I can't blame him playing with the Lions all these years.Brad Childress is 1-6 in games played Dec. 17 or later.

Re: Roy Williams or Holt anyone?
I bet roy goes to dallas after this season if he doesnt resign with the lions.
He played ball at Texas, still lives down there during the off-season, goes down there any chance he gets... i could really see Dallas getting him witch would really piss me off

Re: Roy Williams or Holt anyone?
Interim GM Martin Mayhew says the Lions have no plans to put Roy Williams on the trade block before the October 14 deadline.
Mayhew says the Lions would field calls for any player, but won't pursue a deal. Still, this leaves the door open for a club like Baltimore, Dallas, Tampa Bay, or Miami to make an offer. Williams is in a contract season.

Roy Williams says he's "fed up" and believes the Lions' organization could be cursed.
An indication he won't re-sign after the season? Roy is in a contract year. "Everybody would like to go back home as they get older," he said. "My home is Texas. Are they going to trade me in the middle of the season like Chris Chambers last year? I think this place is cursed. I asked our chaplain if he knew anyone who could christen Ford Field to get it right for us."

Re: Roy Williams or Holt anyone?
I'll take both but if I had to choose one right now, it would be holt.
Roy isn't going to
come cheap and may cost at least a first to a divisional opponent.
I say we spend a 3-4 for Holt. He is older but more experienced than Roy and may pick up the offense faster. Holt has been banged up but still crossed a G last year. Can any of our wrs say that? Holts route running woul be perfect for across from BB. This will allo us to move BB to the slot in 3wr sets to push the Saftey
