The Vikings made several moves today. Here’s the rundown:

*They were awarded defensive back Rashad Baker on waivers from Buffalo. Baker has started three games in the past two seasons for the Bills, all at safety.

*They also were awarded running back Artose Pinner, who spent the past three years with Detroit and was the Lions’ second-leading rusher last season.

*To make room for Baker and Pinner, the Vikings waived receiver Jason Carter and running back Wendell Mathis, both undrafted rookies. If they pass through waivers, both players could be candidates to join the practice squad because …

*The team named only five players to its 8-man practice squad. They are:

    TE Richard Angulo

    CB Charles Gordon

    WR Martin Nance

    T Donald Penn

    DE Khreem Smith

FYI: Players had the weekend off but their first “regular season” practice will come tomorrow at Winter Park. Tuesday is their regular day off, and they get an extra day of practice starting Wednesday because the season opener is on Monday Night Football.
I really don't like leaving either of those 2 open on the waivers.. ok mathis is young he might stay.. but J.Carter?
he's shown to much to be lost!!!
