Re: Roof or no roof on New Vikes stadium?Which would you pre

I'm way north of Milwaukee, I live in Chippewa 100 miles from the dome, We have the northern wisconsin state fair, sometime in July, and I seen Brewers play the first year Miller Park was made while they played the Braves, and I always get bashed on for being a viking fan at school but i'm a proud viking fan, viking fan for life.

hey, don't worry about it, lad. I've been feelin' the heat as of late, for cheering on the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Finals. Not to mention, I HATE the Brewers. Some of my co-workers are in shock that I care notta (outside of that all-star game) for the Brewers. I understand, they're our team, but I just think they're horrible...boring, etc, etc.
But hey, what about our MISL team: Wave?!!! They won the soccer championship AGAIN!!!!!

Brew fan? YIKES! I'd rather cheer on the Minnesota Twins before I cheer on the Brew crew.

    My personal opinion?

What do you think Leif Ericcson and Bjarni Herjulffson would say if they came back from the past and saw their mighty Viking warrior namesakes playing inside because it was too cold?

Play outside. I don't think Leif would be into Arena Football.
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

    Welcome to the NFC North.

IF your going to do it, do it right !!! Retracable, otherwise NFL exc's will never give Minny a Super Bowl with just an open air stadium. But I also dont want to see whinny people crying in Dec. that they want the roof closed cause it's too cold. Best game i've ever been too, pro or college, were when the Bison and Sioux battled and it snowed out. Just a Beautiful sight to see !!!
Personally I could care less about a Super Bowl awarded to MN. I care about the Vikes first.

Too bad the Bison play in a dome now.

I do not really care if it is outdoor or indoor stadium as long as the Vikings just get a new stadium. Returning to an outdoor stadium would be very cool for the Vikings, and who cares about getting a Super Bowl because the stadium will proably just get one in its lifetime anyway. Besides who wants to come up to MN in Feb for a Super Bowl? It is best to keep them in the South where us northerners can take a warm winter trip to in Feb to support the Vikings.

Retractable roof....that way in 15 years our stadium won't be "outdated" and we will have to buy a new one because retractable roof stadiums are the wave of the future....just look at the Texans killer stadium with the retractable roof, that thing is awesome!
You may be too young to remember, but the Dome was the wave of the future and would be around forever and we wouldn't need a new one for a realllllly long time.

Here we are today. Remember that...no matter how they sell it to you, a new stadium is only a generation thing...every 20-30 years or so they'll want a new one.
So, a stadium is kinda like my wife. In 20-30 years I will want a newer/younger one!
Two things: First, I'm printing this out and mailing it anonymously to your wife

Second: Play outside. You can be warm at some point before you die.
