EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- It's never been just about football for Brian Robison.
Going back to his days at Splendora High in Texas, Robison has always spent the summer and fall in football pads chasing down quarterbacks, and the spring in track shorts throwing a discus or putting a shot.......

Great read Singer.
He looks good in a Viking uniform.
It was a great move to trade up and pick him.
Two sacks his first game was very impressive.
Our pass rush was great the first game.
I don't expect to get 6 sacks every game, but even so it is much improved over last season.
That is going to really help our pass defense and will get us into the playoffs.
Re: Robison giving Vikings much-needed help at DE
he's got the drive, determination, and stubberness that it takes to be great in this game
i just hope he keeps the attitude!, keeps the desire!!, and keeps on sackin QB's!!

Robison is built like a powerful spring, he plays with explosiveness, quickness and strenght. When it's all said this season he could be in the running for defensive rookie of the year. Shoot he could lead the Vikes in sacks this year.

robison is the future. He and edwars should be 1 and 2 on the depth chart even when james comes back.I am not impressed by james long recovery and lack of production so far....
Re: Robison giving Vikings much-needed help at DE
It seems to me that B Rob has got that same element that I remember that was in Keith Millard.
Matter of fact, I think he's a combo of Millard, and John Randle.
I just see something special like that from him.
He's a quiet guy that lets his playing do the talking.
Also, I agree with PURPLETIDE.
B-Rob. could very well lead the team in sacks this year.
