    Re: Robinson's contract

    I heard it was a one year deal as well, but they did a story on the Vikes potential free agents in the latest Viking Update and K-Rob didn't get mentioned....so who knows WTF is up! All I know is that when I turn on the TV to watch preseason next year, #18 better be on the field with the visor and all....the Vikes would be retarded not to sign him back! He's loyal as a dog as well....a real great player.....

    Easy Vikes2611! J/K.

    He could have easily read it here;

    http://www.purplepride.org/vikes/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=16511&highl ight=Koren

    "I love the front office, I love the organization, the atmosphere, the morale of the team, it feels home," Robinson said. "So I can see myself here for the rest of my career, if that happens. I don't want to go from team to team, or whatever, like that. If I could stay here, then I would love it."

    or here;

    http://www.purplepride.org/vikes/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=16669

    And then after Robinson and the Vikings did reach a deal, the Vikings cut him before the season opener, with the intention of signing him again, so that the team didn't have to guarantee his $540,000 base salary.

    Robinson said the Packers, who lost Pro Bowl receiver Javon Walker to a season-ending knee injury in Week 1, offered to double the Vikings' offer.

    Asked if he thought about leaving for Green Bay after the Vikings let him go, Robinson said: "It crossed my mind, it crossed my mind, but my heart told me I needed to stay here. I did think about it."

    He said he felt loyal to Tice and stayed with the Vikings and signed a contract that will make him a restricted free agent next season, giving the Vikings the chance to match any offer.

    "My heart, you know, I'm loyal," he said. "Minnesota gave me the opportunity, I followed my heart. ... Hopefully I can make [Minnesota] my home.

    "Indebted? Yeah, [Tice] gave me the chance, you know, so I feel like I'm proving it. I'm enjoying the opportunity and I'm making the best out of the opportunity, and every Sunday I try to go out there and do my best and just show them that I'm thankful.

    We will work through the numbers. Koren is going nowhere. We actually have very decent receivers. The question who will we dump?

    Re: Robinson's contract

    I think Koren may actually be restricted or signed through next season, I am not sure ... but we definitely want him here next season ... I would expect to see us cut Taylor and/or Marcus though ... I would think that Koren, N8, T-Will and Taylor would likely be our four next season ... but who knows ...

    Re: Robinson's contract

    He will re-sign. Every other team in the NFL had forgotten about him and labeled him while we gave him a shot to play for us as long as he didn't screw us over and keep up his drinking. He held true to what he said and even had a chance to sign with the packers later but opted out because we were the one team that gave him his shot.

    Re: Robinson's contract

    This tells me he'll sign with the Vikes, provided we don't abuse the fact that he wants to play here & offer him a less than fair contract. But I don't see this happenning, Red is no longer the owner, Wilf is & he'll do right for K-Rob.

    I thought it was a 2 year deal???? I know it was in another thread, but that thread is probably on page 20 of the Viking Fan Forum by now.

    This is from a previous thread:

    We signed him to a 2-year deal, and hopefully he will be signed to a longer one later on. He and Troy are our WR's of the future. I am very happy that he has turned himself around.

    Give him one more year, and if he does it like he did today, I will be saying he is the ghost of Cris Carter.
