    Those were the days!

    Smith glided like a gazelle!
true , those strides seemed to take up 7 yards , almost seemed like he was floating . defenders would say that he looked so much slower than he was . then they would be blown by when they took the wrong angle.

did you guys see the nfc championship loss to atlanta? i swear i saw smith tossing his cookies on the sideline (because he was playing so hard) then went back into the game.

no comparison between smith and bennett. bennett has a chance to be a fairly good back, but never the same level as smith.

i agree i think that smith has hurt alot of fans views of running backs . smith has (for some reason) givin bennett credibility . bennett is not robert smith , wishing he was will not bring robert smith back .

Robert smith seems as good a person as he was a running back.He glided thru those questions like it was the Butt-packer secondary.A class act all the way.
If winning isn,t everything, why keep score?

Hes good for one more season. Retirement never slowed anyone down, with the exception of most retired people.

Robert Smith is a great guy! And very smart. And he retired too early. That is strictly my selfish opinion.
He stated Monday on Total Access that he briefly contemplated coming out of retirement to play for Denny. He said very briefly though.
I loved those 70 yard screen plays for Td's! And of course the 68 yarders up the middle for touchdowns.
The Vikes surely have missed him.
