Vikings fullback Tony Richardson began work this week on the NFL's new player advisory council, created by commissioner Roger Goodell to help reduce the league's escalating series of off-field incidents.
Richardson met Tuesday with Goodell and fellow council members Donovin Darius, Jeff Saturday, Takeo Spikes, James Thrash and Troy Vincent. By the end of the month, Goodell is expected to unveil a stricter personal conduct policy that includes longer suspensions and harsher penalties for repeat offenders.
"The biggest thing is that we're becoming more proactive," Richardson said. "The commissioner is adamant about getting this cleaned up. We're really trying to address the issues. Every issue is separate, but at some point, enough is enough. I think that's where we are now."
Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Well, if we are going to sit here and criticize NFL players for doing the wrong thing, then we should feel obligated to point out the good as well as the bad. Kudos to the players involved in this.

Tony is an awesome dude.
Last offseason I posted an article about how involved he is with the local community, mostly the less-fortunate.
My search feature has never worked here, but I'll do some digging to see if I can get a link.
He is a class act, and absolutely one of my favorite Vikes these days.-Sno
