Re: Review the depth chart post draft

I heard someone mention the chance at a Dwight Smith trade to Pitt. Maybe they can send some oline depth in return?

Since Dwight can play corner i dont think he will be traded or cut unless we bring in some more corners.
As of right now, if a corner went down with an injury, we would be very thin.
Maybe some of the UDFA's we brought in are there to compete for whitaker's spot?
    lets hope so anyways...

Yeah Smith may be the Odd man out out. probaly 1 more
since we have 4 SS and only 1 FS unless one of them can be moved to FS which I don't think they can.

Safeties are interchangeable in the Tampa 2.

Wasnt Smith a FS before? I thought we played Sharper at more of a SS this year and he was upset about it?

We could probably use new blood at MLB. I am not entirely ecstatic with the play of EJ Henderson and Dontarrious Thomas thus far. Not entirely sure on this, though.

All you Childress haters can sick on that line up. Give him another offseason and draft (considering last years has turned out decent and this year looks very promising...) and he'll have his personnel in to run his system. I'm giving Brad his due credit and am backing him for at leasthis 3 years despite how this upcoming season may end up.
Trying to bring rationale to an irrational site

I was thinking along the same lines. Yeah he had a *cough* "rough" *cough cough* first year, but there might actually be an underlying(dare I say) genius to how things are going. I guess we'll have to wait and see... ???

Re: Review the depth chart post draft

The depth chart on NFL.com, which is from the end of the season, has Cook as the RT.
We might be able to move Johnson inside and take Hicks spot.

    http://www.nfl.com/teams/depthcharts/MIN

I think the first round of next years draft will be either a RT or RG pick.
We seem to be lacking quality depth on the OL.
Heck our right side is suspect still.
Obviously from this years draft, we decided to find potential offensive play makers to try and keep the D's playing honest.
Maybe that will help our line from being stampeded.

Ciurciu, never heard the name pernounced, I am sure I would butcher it if I had to say it.
    LOL!
It seems that they got this guy for a reason other than special teams.
Could this be a surprise player for 2007.
Maybe he is just a ST guy.
But he did back up MLB in Carolina.

2004: Played in all 16 games with four starts at middle linebacker for injured Dan Morgan...Posted 33 tackles...Saw action primarily on special teams, contributing nine stops.
