    Resign Hovan?

Chris Hovan is entering his final year of his contract, do you think the Vikings should try to sign him to a long-term deal before the season starts or try and sign him after the season and before free agency starts?

In economics you sell when the stock is high and buy when the stock is low. Hovan is coming off of a bad year so should we try to sign him now, because if he has a monster year he will probable want big bucks.

What do you guys think :?:

All you can do is see how well he does this year. I wouldnt resign him till after this season. If theres a improvement sign him. If not, then he has probably lost a step. Depends how he does this season.

I would agree now is the right time to sign him however I would be willing to bet he wouldn't want to until after this season. He knows he would be on the short end of the stick right now de to his play last year.

If you pay him what he's worth, he'd have to take a pay cut, wouldn't he?
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

With some help up front I hope Hovan won't be
double teamed as he has been in the past. If
that is the case he will have a monster year.

We have to sign Hovan before the season starts! With Udeze and Kevin Williams on our D-line, there is no way he has another bad year. Udeze will be doubled sometimes, as will K-Will. This will free up Hovan for a much improved season. I expect Hovan's #'s to jump up, and Williams's to drop a little. I say william's might drop a little, because the league has now seen how good he is, and he will get doubled some this year. We have luxary on the D-line this year, because we have 3 guys that need to be doubled.

I hope we sign him sooner, not later. If you need a reference, ask Indy. No he's not Peyton, but still. He is good, we have the room, get it done.
Hovan, Williams, and Udeze will be FUN!

Depends, I understand where the vikes are coming from with this situation. If Hovan has another average year, we will have leverage to sign him to an average contract. If he has a great year than there is certainly nothing wrong with paing him what he's worth, after all it isn't like we don't have the money.

Personally I see him having a good year, and would like to see them sign him to a contract before the season starts, because losing him would suck alot.
