Reciever depth cart?
In athlon's football preview the said that taylor is the forth reciever, but i disagree with this. here is what i feel it should be:
1. Burilson
2. taylor
3. Williamson
4. robinson
5. cambell
6. howry
I think taylor is more of a complete reciever, while robinson is just a deep threat, and good in the red zone. They really dont need robinson to strech the defense with williamson now, so robinson should be used in the red zone and four reciever sets.
although i have taylor the number two now, williamson could take it over later in the year.

Burleson
Robinson
Williamson
Taylor
Campbell
Howry
At the end of the season it will be:
Burleson
Taylor
Williamson
Robinson
Campbell
Howry
Robinson will definitely drop down the ranks and Taylor will rise to the occassion now that he's on a team that isn't dominated by running and defense...and actually has a QB on the roster.

No. Taylor will start as # 2 WR. He has been doing phenominal in TC. Robinson will be a red-zone WR and a great mentor and leader on the sidelines. Robinson and Williamson will share the # 3/Strech the field spot until Williamson gains enough exeperience there."Eyedea" wrote:

Re: Reciever depth cart?
i think there will be no absolutes on this team...
reasons why:
vikes have never been able to commit to just one RB because the talent pool is large.
the wr corps now has a deep depth chart. the same will happen.
on paper it will go:
Burleson
robinson
taylor
williamson
campbell
in each game who the heck knows:
burleson will be the only absolute. there will be games in which taylor is useless, robinson is useless, and williamson more than the others useless.
i think taylor, mrob, and williamson will all have about the same amount of receptions at season end w/ robinson having the most TD's.
the only thing i expect is now that smith is done, bennet will be the feature back.

Re: Reciever depth cart?
williamson reminds me of the Saints number 2 reciever...what's his name? and he will put up similiar numbers...catching TD's but not much else.

Re: Reciever depth cart?
Really the only thing I think is guaranteed is that Burleson will be #1. Other than that, it is a mess, and will be figured out in training camp. Williamson will probably be #3, but it will be interesting to see whether Taylor or Robinson step up.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Re: Reciever depth cart?
i think that due to m robs knowledge of the offence he will start the first game or so at #2 .
then expect taylor to take over . with williamson the deep threat at #3
