The Vikings suck and will forever.
    Thats why.

    Wow....spoken like a true Vikings fan....optimistic too ;D

As many have pointed out already with great responses here your reasoning is very hard to figure out on both the Tom Brady Issue and this last sentence I highlighted. Vikings suck and will forever sounds like the lament of a bruised packer fan more than a true purple vikings supporter to me.

    Cheers!
    I love me some Vikings.
    Just a little sarcasm. ;D

I will hate the pack forever.
I wasn't cheering for them last Sunday like some of you.

    It's a joke right.

Or maybe you should be a college scout?

Yeah - and if only they had lost all of their games in the '97 season, so they could have drafted first overall and got Peyton Manning.

And, dammit, if they'd sucked more in 1974, they could have had Walter Payton!

Damn you Vikings for not sucking!

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Re: The real reason were not in the playoffs all started in 2000.....

All sarcasm aside, I think the real reason from a outside point of view was the inability of Green to control the players... the inmates were running the show so to speak. I really don't know if you can hang the hat of blame all on Green or if it was the front office and pro player people not stepping in an helping it along. Their were some loose cannons floating around and ate the authority of the team from underneath.

By Tice's time, the ship was rudderless and out of control, it is too bad as well, theyy had the pieces to make it roll. Not helping the situation along at all was the tragic death of Stringer as well. Anyway.. an outsiders point of view.

    lol, you can't be serious.
Hovan had a good career here in Minnesota, and was credited as one of the big factors in the Buccs return to great Defense a couple years back when they finished #1 in the league.

"We let him drop to the 6th round"
"I mean i dont understand what they were thinking"

rofl, they were thinking was the other 31 teams were also.
He wasn't that good of a quarterback coming straight out of the draft, or at least didn't show it.
"We" Didnt let him drop that far, if had any signs of becoming the quarterback he is today, he would have been drafted #1 overall.
He was picked #199 overall in the draft.
That means that 32 teams thought 198 players were more valuable at the time.
If you think that us not drafting him has anything to do with us not being in the playoffs, you need to maybe find a different sport lol

Besides, who knows if Tom Brady would even be the quarterback that he is now if he had been drafted by a different team.
Remember this interesting little fact, Tom Brady got his chance to be the starting quarterback when Drew Beldsoe went down hurt in New England.
A few years later, Bledsoe, now the quarterback for Dallas, once again goes down injured, and a young kid by the name of Tony Romo, who was picked up as an undrafted free agent, gets his chance to start.
I for one dont really think thats much of a coincidense

And besides, "the reason we're having problems at quarterback" also might have something to do with us having a falling out with Culpepper, who dropped significantly in performance after the departure of Moss, then having an old Brad Johnson take the helm of the ship.
And now a D-II quarterback leading our team with no decent back up, and no proven recievers.

Or maybe its cuz we didn't draft Brady.
I GOT IT!!!! All we have to do next year is in the offseason, sign drew Bledsoe.. to be the unquestioned starter, for a year or two.. draft a QB in the 6th (Tom Brady) or undrafted (Tony Romo) and when drew get's hurt or plays like crap, put the new guy in..

and he'll automatically be the next superstar....

That's too much of a coincidence to pass that up.... hey TJ may even be really good then...

I say let's do it... Drew might actually be able to pass to the receivers we have... can't move around in the pocket for sh!* tho...

I enjoy comparing apples and oranges.
I have 7 bright shiny apples and 4 juicy oranges.
    The 4 oranges are better.
