How about a 501(c)3 charity called Fans Helping Fans, who's mission is to provide monatary assistance to other Eagles fans who find themselves in times of financial crisis?
A positive thing with Eagles fans....that's good. I was making a gross generalization with the stament I made, but I still think the majority of Philly fans are clasless j*ckasses. It's gonna take alot of convincing for me to think otherwise.

I didn't read of any incidents. What's at issue here? People talking smack? Tossing a few expletives? Chiding Moss?

    Oh, heaven forbid!

I'm sure that doesn't happen anywhere else but Philadelphia.
I expected a little better from you, but I am obviously mistaken. What an a-hole!!!!!!

So, other than doing the "asshole" chant (that you'll hear in just about EVERY stadium in the NFL) and talking smack, what exactly is wrong with that?

Just another media hack looking to add onto the legend....

Funny, on another thread on these forums, someone said that they heard batteries were being thrown. See how the "whisper down the lane" effect happens? Some guy jokes around, obviously wanting to egg on the urban legend of Eagles fans (I can pretty much bet money on the fact that he was just talking smack and wouldn't have wasted a battery to throw), and all of the sudden its:

"Oh my God! Like half of the Vikings fans that went to Philly got hit with batteries! And one of them, I heard, was in the ICU at a local hospital! Those Philly fans are the worst ever!"

I was at the game. Chanted the "asshole" chant to a few Vikings fans in good fun. They laughted and pretended to be egging us on...doing the "conductor" thing with his arms to the chant. It was great. No hard feelings, it was all fun. They expected it, as they would anywhere. Saw nothing thrown, no one hurt...just lots of smack talk.

If fans from other places can't handle it? Don't go to games. And don't act like obscene smack talk only happens in Philadelphia. lol...because if that's what you think, boy...you need to get out more.

    Razzing is one thing.

    Being respectful is another.

    Eagle Fans are totally uncouth.

That crap doesn't happen in 85% of the stadiums. If it happened at the dome, the Viking fans would get on the ones doing it and it would be squashed.

The PROBLEM is you shouldn't be defending it at all. You may not have been there but anyone that condones this is part of the problem.

OK then maybe we are taking it a little far but I don't see anyone really wanting to change that image. The Eagle Fans seem proud of it like it is an accomplishment. Either people want their image to change or they don't. It isn't too hard to do that. It starts from the top. The organization needs to make a statement and they don't.

I was at the game. Chanted the "asshole" chant to a few Vikings fans in good fun. They laughted and pretended to be egging us on...doing the "conductor" thing with his arms to the chant. The Eagle fans are proud of the reputation, it shows in your words and their actions. You want to defend the actions and you are condoning the reputation at the same time. Think about it.

Obviously the Eagles(organization) don't mind the reputation or they would make some sort of statement.

I will say that there was one incident at the dome during a baseball game, where some "idiots" threw some batteries at a Yankee outfielder. It was news but it was not condoned. The players, the organization and the media all came out and squashed it besides the fact that they were escorted out of the game. Now that is a healthy way to deal with it.

    get your facts right.

JD Drew was the player (when he was a CARDINAL) that had 2 batteries thrown at him from 2 guys in the stands. they were thrown out of the game instantly. Drew had been drafted as the top pick for the Phillies the year before and blew them off, deciding not to sign with them. Fans were pissed off (rightfully so) and booed him mercilessly. Me included. 2 idiots went too far and got thrown out of the game.

And condoning smack talking? Uh, yeah...what's wrong with that?

You were saying that it is just an image. It really isn't as bad as it is and all it is is smack talk. There is smack talk everywhere.

There are plenty of people that have been to plenty of different stadiums and they say that Philly is the worst. Ya'll love that reputation, that is the problem.

Also, you and I are talking about two different events. I was talking about an event at the METRODOME and it was a YANKEE, not a Cardinal.

Point is I don't see the people of Philly calling out to change the reputation.

Talking smack is cool, it's everywhere, but pushing and throwing bottles (plastic or otherwise) at a player's family is not cool. That's just ridiculous. But, what do you expect from a bunch of illiterate fools. And defending those actions makes you just as bad as the one's doing it, Phillygirl.
