:'(,we are not worse than last year at all.

I think I am ready for a winning streak....

    You are absolutely correct.
We are better now than we were at this point last year.
    Considerably better.
And a winning streak is certainly possible.

I honestly think we will have a winning record in the second half of the season, probably going 6-3 or 5-4.
But I don't think that will be enough to make a playoff run...
    Talent is there.
The division is ripe for the picking.
All we need to do is play consistent ball and it is our for the taking.

Alas, we are consistent at being inconsistent which will probably derail the Viking express.

But hey, just read a article that said the Chiller and his staff are safe.
Have I told you lately what I thought of this ownership group.
When the Vikings beat themselves...those don't count as a division win ;D

If the Chiller has a losing record in the division come Dec 14 I'm for a Christmas firing

...Rodgers had to hold on the ball longer, giving players like Jared "I am completely insane and will literally eat your children" Allen time to sack Rodgers again. And again. And again. Actually I think Rodgers may have nightmares about Jared Allen the rest of the year.

It comes down to two games. Chicago and Green Bay. To have a chance, we need to win both. There is no way we will win the division if we go 0-2 against either of them. Kick their arses in the dome and we might have a good shot at it.

i think we are in a better spot then last year. what might kill us is if KW and PW get susended. they say that this will be their last game before that happens. then we go play the packers and if ryan grant has a big game then i have to listen to everyone say how great he is ..blah-blah-blah. just like last year. i will be keeping my fingers crossed for a run that continues for the rest of the season. no point in winning 5 or 6 straight if we lose the last 2 that we need to win. i think if we get on a run this years team will ride it better.

    Re: Ready for a run?

Just to bring everyone down a notch, our remaining opponents are Houston, Greenbay, @ Jacksonville, @ Tampa Bay, Chicago, @ Detroit, @ Arizona, Atlanta, and New York.

Unless there is a stark contrast to the first half of the season the only teams in our league on the remaining schedule are Detroit and maybe Houston.

Hopefully Berrian can stay hot, Peterson kicks it up a notch, and The Williams Wall stays on the field. If all those happen we have a good shot of winning the home games at least.

If the Williams go down after this week we do not beat GB, Jac, Tampa, or Chi.

    Re: Ready for a run?

I'm all for a run, but before you get yourselves into a lather our 5 game run last year consisted of beating:

    Oakland (Sigh)

Giants (OK that was a good victory, but they turned it over a thousand times)

    Lions (ZZZZZZZ)

    49ers (ho hum)

Bears (They mailed it in cause it didn't effect their standing)

This run was probably the reason for all the preseason media hype this year.
I've been a Viking fan since I was just out of diapers, hopefully we get Super Bowl win before I go back in 'em.

    Re: Ready for a run?

A few things play into how I think this could go

I feel we can get around 5-6 more wins.. Depending on if we dont mess up the game

Houston- We should win.. If not then scratch everything I write

Greenbay- Lose.. But never know if we can find a way to rattle Rodgers we could take it

Jax- They aren't that good this year.. We suck on the road but if we get on a little roll here we COULD take it.. We are pretty evenly matched

    Tampa- We lose

Chi- We will take this one in a defensive battle this time

Det- We will take it.. It wont be as close as last time

Ariz- Could go either way.. Right now they are playin great ball and airing the hell out of it.. If we can get some steam rolling it could be close and come down to who makes more mistakes (ususally doesn't work in our favor)

Atl- We should win.. They are a decent team.. But at home and this game might mean more to us

New York- NY will be resting thier starters.. Atleast for a half.. Most likely the whole game.. We should take it at home against back ups.. If not then everything I said on here is way off

We have a good shot at winning 5-6 games out of the remaining sched.. If we play our cards right.. If not then we could lose all of them
