Ready for a run?
http://min.scout.com/2/806462.htmlThe Vikings are in a similar position to what they faced last year about this time, when they went on a five-game winning streak and gave themselves a chance at the playoffs. They seem to be feeling better about themselves coming out of the bye. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

lol. we are worse than we were last year at this point, or it sure feels like we are. if we win 5 in a row, i will buy more vikings stuff
We're bringing purple back.

Re: Ready for a run?
five game winning streak would put us exactly where we were last year, in terms of total wins with a few games to spare... 9 wins could potentially win us the division... although 10 is a safer bet

We are better now than we were at this point last year.
Considerably better.
And a winning streak is certainly possible.
I honestly think we will have a winning record in the second half of the season, probably going 6-3 or 5-4.
But I don't think that will be enough to make a playoff run...

When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

The division is ripe for the picking.
All we need to do is play consistent ball and it is our for the taking.
Alas, we are consistent at being inconsistent which will probably derail the Viking express.
But hey, just read a article that said the Chiller and his staff are safe.
Have I told you lately what I thought of this ownership group.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Ready for a run?
I said after the last game that i thought we would go on a winning streak at some point this year. But I am not holding out hope of making the playoffs or doing anything if we get there but the thing that is the saddest is this could be the weakest NFC there has been in the past 15 years with all of the injuries that are hampering the teams that were expected to be contenders.
Had we taken care of the QB situation and had that solidified during the offseason instead of assuming that the chosen one would be able to cut it and had we bolstered the offensive line combined with the talent we picked up we could easily have had the team to beat in the NFC this year and the AFC is looking like it is weaker than it has been in a long, long time so the chances of a Lombardi would have been better this year than they have been in a long time.

To all true Vikings fans ...... The glass is half full ..... A streak and a strong finish are still possible. There I said it and at least I feel much better.

The fact they are making a statement that he is safe means they have thought about firing him.
Maybe what they mean is he is safe till the end of the season.
