What was the point of this thread? To prove that Pep is all that and a bag of chips without Randy. I gave some cold numbers about how they are fairing without eachother so far. Team records have absolutely nothing to do with this topic.

    Any other questions?
Team records have nothing to do with this?

I bet if DC was playing bad without What's his name, and we were 3-1, this wouldn't even be a topic.

Also, you can't just put up the stats you did and say that is the end al be all. There is so much more going on as I stated above.
His name is Randy Moss the best WR in football.

But you are trying to tell me it is a fact that the numbers are on the table.

I fully agree with you that variables work both was, and that is why I said it is hard to pinpoint, and that I am stating an opinion. But you are trying to tell me it is a fact simply because it is in the stats.

Yes, Moss is having a better statistical season as a WR than DC is having as a QB. I can admit that.

I am not a moss hater!

    I am a DC lover!

Are you a DC hater? It is alright to have that opinion, but why spread the hate. We are starting to simmer down from our ATL blowout and it is just perpetuating the negativity.
You call it "NEGATIVITY" I call it "REALITY". Storm is just keeping it real.

Re: Read what Was said about Daunte without Randy in UCF

There is definitely a lot more going on behind each team than Moss and C-Pep.
Simple enough, how good C-Pep was in college has nothing to do with now ... and it is obvious that any quarterback would be better with a talent like Moss, Owens, Harrison, etc. next to him. Moss is the best in the game and those others would make C-Pep look great again also.
C-Pep is a good quarterback and can be a great one, but he has serious confidence issues I think. He often looks uncomfortable and like he is trying to do too much when the team is trailing, but when the team is up he looks great and throws pinpoint passes ... and he was always like this ... with or without Moss.
Right now there is definitely no way to say whether or not D.C. is a good or bad QB without Moss. There has not been enough of a season to see. In 9 career games without Moss he has 13 TDs 13 Ints and an 82 QB rating, very average numbers, and lord knows he has not looked good this year ... still a lot more time and a lot more to go on this debate.

Sometimes I wonder if what things might have been if we had drafted Akii Smith instead of Pep?

Sometimes a QB's sucess is a large factor of the franchise he plays for.

I am not sure if you got my point.

I was one of the biggest nay sayers for getting rid of whats his name, but I moved on and am a supporter of the team now. There is nothing we can do or say about whats his name to make it feel any better.

You are living in the past deal with what is in front of you. It may look like a big pile of steaming shit and is smells like it too but I (you, we) have to believe it is going to get better.

BTW, I agreed with Storm when it came down to it, we both agreed that any QB would bennefit from having a WR like whats his name on the team.
Also, I started calling whats his name by whats his name about the time it became taboo to talk about it on this board without getting chewed out for beating a dead horse.

Re: Read what Was said about Daunte without Randy in UCF

How do quotes from college days have any relavence this many years later. Many great college QBs couldn't make the transition to the pro game. Once Culpepper shows he can make hot reads without Moss then he will do well but not until then. And yes, less pressure in his face would help tons and until then rolling him out and throwing in the flat and giving him QB option rolls will force defenses to play less aggressive.

One thing I will mention.....how many times have you seen Culpper drop the ball without being touched? Often? He has some amazing physical skills but small hands and this will continue to plague him with slips on throw, dropped balls, etc. at most unopportune times I think. Hand size is a biggy for QBs....sorry to say .
