If you listen to the broadcast, they're saying that players coming off of the field who didn't know it was a fake were yelling from the sidelines to Randy to come off the field. Tice saw this happening and tried to call timeout, but it was too late. It's actually a total team communication failure, not solely Moss's fault. But of course the video clip shows Moss jogging to position, then looking to the sideline players, then running off, so you can bet he'll take the blame by the media...even though it was the Fox guys blaming communication during the game. Personally I'd look at the special teams coaching and the playcallers for this...

Well I think it's just another sad symptom of the Vikings' inability to gel as a functioning unit through the long haul. Our special teams has been terrible since I can remember, and today's lack of team play smacks of the last half of last year and our 2000 NFC Championship massacre. We haven't really gotten a solid team with good players in EVERY position all on the same page since 1998, if you ask me. We come up short on a lot of the intangibles.
typical Tice. Has no structure. No discipline. The inmates running the asylum. Great idea. But you need a real coach to organize it correctly.

Someone wasn't suppose to go out on the special teams FG unit and they did.
I am going to speculate on this, but I think he was confused 'cause he saw that the guy that was suppose to stay on the sideline was out there. It was f'd up all the way.
In hindsight maybe Moss should have just ran the play, if we score, Eagles have to take the penalty, we rekick and get 3 points.
There were 12 men on the field and Randy was the closest to the sideline and was motioned off the field. Wasn't his fault.
