Re: Re. Chester Taylor hurt?
the question is even if he is back or not next week, why did the vikings go into the game season with 3 RB and 3 (yes 3) FB?
I love MM but since he is entering his last year of his contract and I cant see us paying him enough to keep him with CT and AP, I thought we should have traded him and kept Pinner and Fason.
Instead we cut Fason and Pinner.
Doesnt make any sense to me at all.
Why was MM deactivated for the game.

Re: Re. Chester Taylor hurt?
Chester was ripping thru the line and looking good 3 rushes for 18 yards, before he got hurt. Hip pointers are very painful, and we will find out more about it today, but I wouln't be surprised if he sat out 2 games. So we won't see our two-headed running attack with CT and AD, for awhile. Betcha' Memo suits up this week against Detroit. We really gotta have a ball control offense this weekend to keep Kit-na off the field. So Tahi, and Memo better get that A game going to support AD, until Chester gets back.

Re: Re. Chester Taylor hurt?
Glad to hear hes not too badly hurt...as much as I like AP i dont wanna see him have to carry the load so soon!I love the idea of having 2 running backs fresh for the latter part of the season!

Re: Re. Chester Taylor hurt?
Did AP look that good, or was the Falcons d just that bad.
He ran for a 70yd TD after bobbling at catch and no one touched him.

Re: Re. Chester Taylor hurt?
AP ran great.
Who knows if it was atlanta's D, but this is apparent: because we ran and ran and AP kept killing them, he got that TD.
And some nice blocking on that play.
When do you think We will hear about CT's injury?
He adds a lot to the game... on 2 RB formations and catching out of the backfield.
Good thing we are playing Detriot who's defense has (HAS) to be worst than Atlanta's who kepot us in the middle of the field all day.

I loved seeing it, and he deserves some kudos!

When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: Re. Chester Taylor hurt?
Childress says Taylor has a contusion (bruise) of oblique muscle. Not serious but uncomfortable and should be ready soon. Maybe out a week. NOT a hip pointer.

Re: Re. Chester Taylor hurt?
I am not getting it though.
I recorded the game on DVD and I have gone over the play, even in slow motion and I just don't get the injury.
The only possible way he got touched is when he had slight contact with Artis Hicks.
Weird cenario.
Great game.
I believe that TJack is getting this WCO.
Things can only get better.
Sydney Rice needs great kudos for a great game.
The whole defense needs a game ball.
Excellent job!
Marcus McCauley's dad will get him for that missed tackle on Roddy White, but still good job anyway.

Re: Re. Chester Taylor hurt?
Childress says in his press conference:
Sounds like he may be practicing this week.– Running back Chester Taylor had an MRI on Monday morning and has a “contusion of his oblique.†(I honestly didn’t know this was possible.) “He’s a pretty tough guy so he’ll treat that thing,†Childress said. “There is nothing structurally wrong and it’s just extremely uncomfortable right now. We’ll get that settled down and see where he comes by Wednesday.â€ÂKentucky Vikes Fan
