    he never guaranteed anything.
He didn't say he WILL break the record.
Kitna guaranteed the Lions would win 10 games.
Edwards just said his goal is to break the sack record.
    Bit of a difference there.
    Actually, a BIG difference.

Which article are you referring to? If you are talking about the "Edwards suffers back injury" article, read my post regarding it.

I simply quoted another posters posting of it to have it accessible in this more applicable thread as I stated. The other thread was about Edwards going after Strahan's record & not about his injury.

I did not want to hijack that thread with more injury articles, so I started a new one since it's a different subject. When I got around to posting the "Edwards suffers back injury" article, a search showed me that FuadFan already posted that particular article in a semi-related thread of a different subject.

Obviously I didn't want to duplicate the article, so I quoted & copied Fuads post there & put it here along with the disclaimer.

I could have easily not done that & left his post with the article link out of this one, but I felt FuadFan deserved better than that.

In the other case you mentioned, a new thread was started with a T-Jack article that was already posted in a thread discussing the same subject matter.

I don't think he sounds like a fool at all ( Edwards )
But he has made comment to a very very big goal of his own.
Hey, more power to him, just tells me that he has very strong beliefs in his own skills and at the same time, he has very strong beliefs about his team mates and what their capable of also.

No he just has to go out there and give it his all, and prove himself to no one but himself.

I know one thing for sure, he is going to be a fun player to watch this season, as will so many other's in the Purple and Gold !

kitna plays for the lions, not realistic

Edwards is not as bad as people make it seem to be, he knows he will be facing one on one battles all year long, so he thinks he can win alot of those battles, i think he will get double digit sacks, id love for him to get close to the record, all the power to the guy for wanting to be the best

I'll give you didn't promise part. What he should have said is, "Since we got Jared Allen, that gives me a legitimate shot at the sack record with all the focus on him. Thanks Jared."

More like, Kitna sucks and didn't have a prayer, and Edwards is improving and an upcoming DE Threat, with a reachable goal.......

If Edwards does break the record, I'll have to cook up some really speical Pies, and I'm not talking Crow Pie... ;D

I think we will have 3 with double digit sacks this year. Edwards, KW, Allen. 8)
