Re: Ray Edwards Is Ready For The Ring
Ray "Show me the Money" Edwards talking straight.“If the lockout goes to August and I’m moving up in the ring, then different things can happen. There is a lot of money in boxing, just as there is in football. It becomes a numbers game after that.”

Re: Ray Edwards Is Ready For The Ring
AS I was reading the quotes from Ray's trainer's, I was reminded of this:

Remember how well that worked out for him?

Re: Ray Edwards Is Ready For The Ring
I'm assuming while under contract with an NFL team, pro boxing would not be allowed. But if there is no CBA he's free to do what he wants.
Good for him. Everyone should have a backup plan. Doubt he'll ever be heavy weight champion, but he could make some money. I'd love to see one of his fights.

Re: Ray Edwards Is Ready For The Ring
LMAO. If he fought anyone good enough to command any type of pay day he will get knocked the ^%#^ out.

Re: Ray Edwards Is Ready For The Ring
I would pay to watch Tyson eat his ear. Other than that I would probably pay more to watch a rerun of Glee.:woohoo:

Re: Ray Edwards Is Ready For The Ring
"“Ray will be the first to come from pro football as a starter and destroy the heavyweight division. Ray is a phenom,” said Warner. “He’s a modern-day Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson combined. He’s the greatest conditioned heavyweight ever and he’ll knock out any fighter in the world. No one looks like Ray, no one moves like Ray and no one works like Ray.”"
I don't know which is more ridiculous, this statement, or Ochocinco saying he'd beat Tom Zbikowski.

Re: Ray Edwards Is Ready For The Ring
I think alot of you under estimate Rays athletic ability. Heres a quick "How do you do".......How many of you would get in the ring with him.
Even though I a bit older, I still like to get into a good tussel every now and then (nothing better than getting hit and hitting back), but I sure wouldn't want to mess with him. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Ray Edwards Is Ready For The Ring
I think its generally accepted that boxers are among the fittest athletes in the world. Ray would have to depend on early finishes, getting past round 3 or 4 would be a near impossibility. Still would be fun to see him fight
