Playing on a line stacked with the tallent we have he should have been far more productive then he was.
Though we have demanding needs at some other positions I would like to see a change at his position.
You do realize he was playing out of position last year don't you?
Surprise, surprise. Our staff likes to do that don't they.

The only way Udeze ever 'sucked' is if you look at the stats (mainly sacks) only. I can't remember Udeze having a bad game, in fact when he wasn't getting any sacks he was still applying pressure consistently enough.

I really hope Udeze comes back and rips shit up this year. If he comes back and has solid season, he doesn't even need to be a starter, he deserves comeback player of the year. Beating cancer and missing only one NFL season is pretty fucking awesome.

Most gauge a DE's success by his sacks and sack alone...... :'(

The Vikings defensive end wasn't embarrassed by not breaking the sack record and is again setting high standards.

I like Edwards, he's a competitor and always is trying to make himself better. I like him more after reading that article, the guy is an entrepreneur, gotta respect that, as long as he is still focusing on football as long as we're paying him to do so - can't hate a guy for trying to expand his horizons tho

Re: Ray Edwards earns additional $221,322

I think Edwards is a solid end and a good player to have on this team.

The one thing that really sticks out to me is his youth. I mean, he's 24 now, but he was only 21 years old when he came into the league. So whereas most guys are coming into the league at 22 or 24 years old (depending on their redshirt and if they stayed all four years) Edwards was still a pup when he was drafted.

With another year or two of maturity and development, he could be a solid starter.
