Ravens band to loud??
I was sitting 3 rows behind the Ravens Band, and was getting fairly upset with them myself because I had to keep standing up to see the game, but check this out...
Band debate: An NFL spokesman said the league is reviewing the Vikings'
complaint against the Baltimore Ravens' marching band.
Mike Harmon, the Vikings' director of marketing, filed a complaint with
a league observer against the Ravens' 250-person band for playing music
when the Vikings' offense had the ball during the first half of Sunday's
game. Harmon said the band violated the league's noise policy, which
prohibits music being piped in or a band playing while the play clock is
The Ravens' band did not abide by the policy until the Vikings' final
two possessions of the fourth quarter, Harmon said.
Ravens coach Brian Billick was quoted as saying in the Baltimore Sun, "I
was in Minnesota in the Metrodome for seven years. I wouldn't talk a
great deal about exterior noises. Our band gets cranked up, and they do
a phenomenal job, so whether it was too loud or not, I'll leave that to
the other officials." :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:[move]"Our day WILL come!! I just hope I LIVE long enough to see it!"[/move]
