Question on Drivers TD catch...

it was second quarter and farve made a good throw to a covered Driver, who makes a good catch in the endzone. However, there was a flag thrown right in the endzone, but was picked up w/o a given reason. here is what i think happened...

I think Driver pushed off, causing the ref to throw the flag. however, he picked it up because winfield, who had preatty tight coverage, didnt look back for the ball.

or

the flag was thrown at winfield for not looking at the pass, but the problem with this is they would have said the penalty is declined.

any thoughts?

I am pretty sure the flag was on A Dub and I am also fairly sure the Packers declined, If I remember correctly.

I don't think you can allow a TD on offsetting penalties.

It would be a replay of the down.

The radio guy said interference on defense, but then I never heard the call. They may have just picked it up because it would have been declined, or they got together and decided that it might have been some mutual hand jockeying.

AW was the one with the interfernce.

They would have scored anyways 1st and Goal from the 1.

Winfield clearly interfered with Driver. The call was defensive pass interference and the pack declined.

yeah,if you know its gonna be caught for 7,you might as well go for the Pass Interference.

all i can say that that was a sick catch! i have got to give props to driver on that one.
