Question for the board.
First let me say hello, I'm new on the board and hope to chat about the Vikes with some real fans. I am from WV and have been a Viking fan for as long as I can remember. My question is this. I have never been to a home game and this year my wife and I are coming to the season opener. We are staying at the Millenium hotel in town and was wondering what areas we need to check out while we are in town. What are the nice places to eat? What is the tail gate situation before a Vikes game? Any response would be appreciated.
Thanks
Viking fan in West "By God" Virginia.

I was just in West Virginia two weeks ago.
Hit me offline, and I will give you a list of things to hit. I'll also let you know where we will be tailgating this year.
I hope to unveil the brand new PURPLEPRIDE.ORG Mini Chopper motorcycle...purple with horn and all.

As I understand the tailgate parties in Minnesota rate as some of the best. The chearleaders come out and help make the party go.

WV_Vike, this is a nice site for Minneapolis...,
St. Paul probably has a similar one.

The parks are outstanding, my family enjoys Loring Park - which is just a few blocks from your hotel. This connects to nice restaurants, theaters, museums, and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden (you've probably seen the Spoonbridge and Cherry Fountain). We also enjoy walks along the river, and bridges, downtown at sunset. The Nicollet Mall is a street that your hotel is on, most of that street is a shopping mall that stretches across downtown. It's cool, (there's a new statue of Mary Tyler Moore tossing her hat). There's a lot of night life too..., your concierge can probably help with a few tips. Of course, you should check out the Mall of America, which is by the MSP International Airport.
BTW - Webby, what lot can you, and the purple chopper, be found at?
