I say we start Cassel for the rest of the season, and move up to draft A.J. McCarron next year.

    Quarterback Options for 2014

I am sure whoever we might pick will end up terrible anyway.

Maybe it's time to go back to retreads since that has served us so well for decades

    Blake Bortles from Central Florida
Penn St coach Bill O'Brien thinks highly of him and that was before he beat Penn St.

If the Vikings do not go with a proven veteran, or they get really lucky in the draft, it will be too late, as Peterson's skills will deteriorate before the quarterback gets up to speed.

How about this QB option ? Don't reach !
Vikings reached with both TJ and Ponder. They should have figured out by now, why you don't reach !
Wilfs reached with Childress who never called plays before coming here, and Frazier who wasn't a top notch defensive coordinator, and look how that has worked out so far.

You mean like lead the Chiefs to their first divisional championship in seven years, and earned a Pro Bowl berth in the process.

Not to mention his huge year in New England.

He can do more than Ponder.

    Here is what I want...

I want a QB that has won something.

There are Few options coming up.

    1) Cassel. Unless we get an RGIII/Luck/Matt Ryan type of rookie, I don't want a rookie starting.Give the kid a chance and let him learn. Hopefully Cassel can manage the game and throw 3 yard passes.

    2) trade: three guys look intriguing to me. Nick Foles, Matt Barkley, Kirk Cousins. Foles would definitely be my first option.

    3) this QB class is pretty deep this year. Teddy Bridgewater, tajh Boyd, Johnny Football, Murray, AJ McCarron.

Cassel may be an option, but it's a poor option at best. Especially looking long term.
