Go back and look at the stats for the last two superbowl winning QBs.

    2006: Peyton Manning: 25/38
    247
    1
    TD 1 INT
    2005: Ben Roethlisberger: 9/21
    123
    0
    2 INTs

    Stats are overrated.

Go back and do it for their career or at least a season. Against the defenses that those QB's faced, ours would have been much lower. Also look at the supporting cast. We are not even in the same area code talent wise.

While TJ had acceptable at best stats against mediocre at best teams, he certainly is not ready to take on the top defenses in the league and we do not have the talent on offense to cover for his weaknesses.

Pretty pointless thread, in my opinion.
All the appropriate points have already been made.

I was not comparing them to our team. Jackson has nothing to do with what I posted.

I was debunking your theory on how you said they can't play like that and win the superbowl, when in fact, they can. The past two superbowl winning QBs had a bad game in the superbowl and still won it.

The topic starter reads the site as a "Guest" and posted this knowing this could start some crap.

He is not going to reply.

    Re: QB play today

I am back, just a bit busy today.
I have lurked here for some time I just decided to post for a change.
The point of the post was just that QBs are blamed for losing game and lauded for winning games anfd they often do not deserve the praise or the blame.
Most fans are too hard on their young QBs when they make the mistakes that they all make.
I think Jackson may be the starting QB for a long time and will be successful.
If he fails with the same play calling ineptitude and no no. 1 WR and TE to throw to in 2008 then he may not be the issue.
It may just be the coaches have failed.
On the other hand if the Vikes pick up a legitimate no. 1 WR and a good receiving TE and play calling is improved and Jackson does not play average to above average then it is time to look for a new QB IMO.

    Way to go my friend.

We see alot of guys post and then never defend thier rationale or try to educate us on why they thought the way they did.

    Keep on keepin on.
