Re: Which QB do you want to see get the start in the playoffs?
If all things were equal, I would always go with the Vet.
Problem is, all things aren't equal.
Our OL looked like a turnstyle out there.
Hell I saw the Great Hutch blocking air (to use a announcer term) twice.
TJ's mobility is a definite plus when one tries to figure out this question.
Besides, I kindof like how he came back from that INT.
Nice pump fake and correct throw to the WR that was open. Damn nice throw that also go there before the S could roll over and help.
On to the playoffs.......For those of you who haven't had the luxury of cheering for a Vikings team in this position..........
FEELS FARKIN GREAT DOESN'T IT......
(Key note:
I am a official Longwell crotchsniffer after his play today and I am not just talking about the FG)... ;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

The object of this thread isn't "Why isn't Tarvaris Jackson perfect?".Jackson looked like crap the last two games when he actually faced an opponent and when your in the playoffs the same just getting by crap won't work. He had two wide open guys and makes both of them come near to a complete stop to catch it. He looks scattered. Hangs on to the ball. Had the near game losing interception in the endzone and tops it off with a unnecessary roughness. His last pass on the sideline was just inexcusable along with the management. He wasn't accurate. He looked poor and most of that was against scrubs. Once you know anything about this guy the game plan against this guy is so simple in the playoffs where coaches game plans are at their best Jackson won't stand a chance.
Especially if we play Jimmy Johnson who if he has any film will tear you to pieces. He has great game plans to shut down Romo and Brady last year and in the end of the year has enough film to destroy. He likes to blitz. Jackson looks like crap when you blitz him. If he can handle Romo I doubt he'll have any trouble with a guy like Jackson. You say Jackson's mobile. He didn't look too mobile today getting sacked. Not evading anyone. Ferrotte at least knows how to step up unlike Jackson. On top of that Jackson said the reason he did poor was because there was so much pressure on him to do well. Well there is no more pressure than the pressure that will be on a young quarterbacks shoulders than being in the playoffs.
Frerotte's a veteran. Playoff pressure isn't going to get to him. He knows the situation. He will play at a high level whether its a meaningless game or the playoffs because he's been in the league long enough to know. He is steady. Above average. When he gets going he's going to do very good especially with a guy like Peterson in the backfield. He would definately be the best choice for Minnesota in the playoffs.
It is who is better for the playoffs.
To avoid sounding long-winded I will just make a few quick points to argue yours:
- That UR call was a bad break, two players running full speed and the Giants stepped out a fraction of a second before contact.
Just a bad break.
I'll also point out that Gus wouldn't have caught up.
-
He was 61 percent, which is very accurate.
-
When he was sacked, the Defense would go after him untouched.
No QB looks good in that situation.
-
Playoff pressure isn't going to get to Frerotte?!
He hasn't had dazzling success in the playoffs and has played mediocre during the season.
Neither one of these QB's will set the world on fire, but I will go with Jackson.
He has more upside, is more mobile, more accurate and throws less picks.

TJack has proved that he's improving, but most importantly, he needs the experience of playing in the playoffs.
I can't wait!

I think we have to go with T-Jack.
He's been doing well and Gus was playing horribly.

There is no doubt it should be TJack.
His skill set is superior to Gus' and his play as of late warrants the starting nod.

Re: Which QB do you want to see get the start in the playoffs?
It has to be T-Jack at this point. He went 2-1 down the stretch ... he also should get the credit for the Lions win.
He is playing well ... and right when he could have folded shop after a horrible INT ... he turned things around to lead us to two scores and a title.
T-Jack is the guy.
