    QB comparisons

I found these stats on another board. Its how each qb did in their first 4 years and they are very close indeed. SO for all you daunte bashers you have to realize good qb's dont just come out of college instantly and be the perfect qb for the team in the next so many years. Give cully a chance.

    Daunte Culpepper
First 4 years as a starter (years 2-5 of his career):
    1160 of 1843 for 13,881 yards; 90 TDs and 63 INTs (62.9% completion rate)
    Rushing stats: 342 for 1923; 26 TDs
    67 fumbles; 22 lost
    Games started: 57
    Totals: 116 touchdowns; 85 turnovers

    Peyton Manning
First 4 years as a starter:
    1357 of 2226 for 16,418 yards; 111 TDs and 81 INTs ( 61% completion rate)
    Rushing stats: 122 for 408; 7 TDs
    21 fumbles; 9 lost
    Games started: 64
    Totals: 118 touchdowns; 90 turnovers

    Brett Favre
First 4 years as a starter (years 2-5 of his career):
    1342 of 2145 for 14,825 yards; 108 TDs and 64 INTs ( 62.6% completion rate)
    Rushing stats: 186 for 797; 7 TDs
    41 fumbles; 17 lost
    Games started: 61
    Totals: 115 touchdowns; 81 turnovers

    Steve McNair
First 4 years as a starter(years 3-6 of his career):
    940 of 1634 for 10,919 yards; 56 TDs and 44 INTs ( 57.45% completion rate)
    Rushing stats: 322 for 1973; 20 TDs
    36 fumbles; 14 lost
    Games started: 58
    Totals: 76 touchdowns; 58 turnovers

    Donovan McNabb
First 4 years as a starter (years 2-5 of his career):
    1101 of 1901 for 12,103 yards; 79 TDs and 42 INTs ( 61% completion rate)
    Rushing stats: 302 for 1926; 17 TDs
    30 fumbles; 15 lost
    Games started: 58
    Totals: 96 touchdowns; 57 turnovers

    Averages per game:
Manning: 21 of 35 for 257 yards passing; 6.4 yards rushing; 1.8 TDs and 1.4 turnovers
Favre: 22 of 35 for 243 yards passing; 13 yards rushing; 1.9 TDs and 1.3 turnovers
Culpepper: 20 of 32 for 244 yards passing; 34 yards rushing; 2 TDs and 1.5 turnovers
McNair: 16 of 28 for 188 yards passing; 34 yards rushing; 1.3 TDs and 1 turnover
McNabb: 19 of 33 for 209 yards pasing; 33 yards rushing; 1.7 TDs and .98 turnovers

Note that Culpepper’s passing numbers compare favorably with the 2 big time passers (Favre and Manning) while his rushing numbers are right there with McNair and McNabb.
