Coatings Specialist Group e-mailed a news release Monday that proclaimed the Vikings to be one of the NFL pioneers in protecting their athletes from microbacteria in the locker room and on the practice field. Sports Coatings sprayed the players facilities with three trademarked protectants aimed at preventing bacteria, mold, fungi and algae.
"Health and safety is always a priority," Vikings coach Brad Childress said in the release. "We wanted to start the season knowing we've done everything we can to keep our athletes on the field."
Good intentions aside, the Vikings have set themselves up for some potentially humorous caption writing with the photo that accompanied the release. We have a well-protected worker spraying the Winter Park locker room of these athletes, who have such a colorful history for making off-field headlines.

Re: Proud to fumigate Vikings
Typical Patrick Reusse crap.
Always looking at a way to badmouth or make fun of the Vikings.
