Prospects To Watch: Cornerback

My concern over what is behind Phat Pat and K-will appears to be justified as our defense slips in what was once our strenght (stopping the run).
A CB wouldn't be the worst thing to use our number one on, however, some other possibilities are a few of the DT's coming out this year.

a.
Taylor Mays, S.
Probably won't get out of the top 5 though.
b.
Marvin Austin, DT.
Another top 10-15 pick that won't get to us.
c.
Arthur Jones, DT.
He sure would look good next to K-will and should be in the area we should expect to pick at.
d.
Greg Hardy, DE.
Alot of the scouting reports say something about foot injuries.
Any ole Miss fans out there care to comment?
e. CJ Spiller, RB.
I know, we have AD and a couple of other youngsters. Just something to think about.

Gonna be fun to watch what Spielman does this year.
Does he package a bunch of picks and go up for a QB, Take a QB late and use top picks on Defense........

Long story short, half way through the season.
Alot of teams are already looking to the draft.
Sure hope teh Vikes FO is as well.

i refuse to have a clemson tiger on the vikings, plus we got running backs......i think we need to look on the defensive side of the ball, and i know this is gonna sound biased but reasonable at the same time..i'm expecting a very late pick and i think Eric Norwood would be an awesome pick if he is still around.

Would love love love Marvin or Arthur ... at least of the current DT class (never know who is going to rise).

Obviously Taylor Mays has no shot at falling to us. I could see us make a move for a QB though.

OU's defense has been stellar, despite the offense's problems.

If we do end up with a late pick, I think this is a year to consider moving up to draft an elite Safety, QB (if Favre leaves), CB, or possibly DT/DE.
I understand not moving up to go after Suh but I mean moving up like 8 spots if an elite begins to fall.
Our late round picks lately have not been the most successful either, might as well get earlier guys that we have more success with and then go after some key unsigned FAs.
