    Projecting Offensive Stats (Bleacher Report)

With so many changes for the Minnesota Vikings heading into 2011, fans need to temper their expectations and show some patience while the team figures out how to piece together their offense.

Here's an early prediction as to how those pieces will come together and perform in 2011

Re: Projecting Offensive Stats (Bleacher Report)

Again, I didn't see a link worth clicking there, so my predictions assuming everything goes alright.

    Peterson: 322 carries, 1470 yards, 14 TD.
    Gerhart: 110 carries, 415 yards, 3 TD
    McNabb: 61%, 3410 yds, 21 td, 16 int
    Harvin: 80 rec, 1002 yds, 5 td
    Berrian: 49 rec, 712 yds, 4 td
    Jenkins: 52 rec, 682 yds, 5 td
    Jaymar: 25 rec, 395 yds, 1 td
    Shank: 32 rec, 400 yds, 4 td
    Rudolph: 20 rec, 219 yds, 1 td

but I think it all hinges on the OL. if they can't hold up, none of that happens.

Again, your not supposed to participate in threads that are stimulated by a Bleacher Report article. Its beneath you.

On a side note, I like what you came up with, but I would bump Shancs and Rudolphs numbers a bit, especially on TD's.

I was thinking that, but when I looked back, there's just too many players and not enough TD's to give out.

Unless McNabb really has a GREAT year, (i mean a top-3 in his career), I don't really see him topping 25 TD passes. I want to give Harvin a few more, but Jenkins won't be ignored, nor will Berrian (who Fraizer claims will play a huge role in the offense). What I came up with isn't even factoring in AP in the passing game.

I think finally having healthy receivers will take some attention away from Shank and Rudolph. Rudolph will get more looks than Sauce did, stealing away some yards from Shank, but ultimately, in the redzone, Shank will be their go-to TE just because he's probably more reliable at this point in time.

I like the idea in the article to move Cook to center & have Hutch & DeGeare as our guards (for now)
