Re: Pro-Bowl may be looking very Vikings friendly....

Glad to see some of the guys are getting a bit of recognition, however, the Pro-bowl is a sham.
    Who the hell makes it.

W/L's in the regular season and post season are what count, nothing more, nothing less.......

By the way, Frampton and Abdullah have both played well in Special Teams but lets not forget, its called Special Teams for a reason and not Special Tackler.

Just a small sample of Writers but if this is the standard. I will be very happy.
    Expected winners
AD, Hutch, Allen, Pat, Kevin, Greenway, Winfield.

I think mac should get consideration.

Pat and Kevin should both be in the pro bowl this year

Allen should be a no brainer

Greenway will likely get over looked as people still think the likes of Urlacher, Briggs, and Hawk deserve are more deserving.

Winnie will get overlooked... only stat that counts for corners in the voters minds are picks

Hutch and Mt Mckinnie need to be there, Birk has played decent enough to earn atleast a replacement possibility

    AP is a no brainer

    Frampton is a good pick

I wish that Madieu had been healthy earlier in the season... guarantee he would have gone as well
Greenway is a much better player this year than Hawk; I don't know that Hawk has the established name to bump Greenway.... I'd be pissed.

    IMO:
(should be) Givens to the Pro-Bowl: AW, JA, KW, AD, Hutch
    (deserve to go): PW, Greenway,
(borderline): McKinnie - he REALLY did well in his games so far; Birk may get #3 on name recognition

    Trust me, I'm a doctor.

All I ask for is Greenway.
It is a crime if AP doesn't make it same with Williams Wrecking Crew and half of the oline.
Winfield would be really really nice and he totally deserves it. He did shut down the best WR tagteam in the league last week. He just doesn't have the int numbers that a cover corner does.
    We're bringing purple back.

NFC North Blog at ESPN has an entry about the pro-bowlers from the North. It is sad to not see Greenway on there. Here is the article.

I think mac should get consideration.
I am always happy to see Vikes get the rec. they deserve.
But I am one who NEVER watches the Pro Bowl.
I can't watch football when it is played at half speed with no heart.
I know, the injury thing, this game just has no appeal what-so-ever for me.
Besides, IMO, past performances and popularity play way too big a part in the voting process.
Much love goes out to Pat Kirwan from this article.
He picked a lot of Vikings, two of whom I think got snubbed in Chad Greenway and Ryan Longwell.
How can you not send Longwell over John Carney?

I agree getting to the pro-bowl is more important than the actual game.
That said last years pro-bowl was awesome because AD doesn't have a "half speed", he runs at 100% 100% of the time. I hope he wins another Pro-bowl MVP again this year.
