By those standards pretty much every team is pretty much screwed.

Yup. In fact, they do a similar piece on most if not all teams. Pretty Much Screwed | SportsGrid

You can look at any team pessimistically and decide that they are screwed.

A regression by Adrian Peterson is inevitable.
Guess the Vikings should have traded him.....oh wasn't last year was suppose to be the year that it would take him to regain that confidence back in the strength in his knee which was going to make it subpar....weren't the Viking screwed when they traded Percy "crazy hips" Harvin or was it when Rice left or was it Birk no it was the Moss trade no Herschel Walker deal was worse or was it when Favre joined them or maybe when Red bought them......Gawd they're always screwed

Actually IMHO AP's numbers need to regress in order for the rest of the team to grow. In that I am saying that for him to get the number of carries and yards he did last year it will mean the passing game has not developed the way it needs to and the offense has not gotten as diversified as it needs to be for the team to take the next step. That of course doesn't mean his skills have degraded, just that the team has become more balanced.

Agreed. Whenever you see a specific player rise to that level of performance on a team, it usually means that the rest of the team is not. Megatron broke the receiving yards record last season. How far did the Lions make it in the playoffs? JA nearly broke (should have broke) the sack record two years ago. We were 3-13. It is amazing that we were able to make the playoffs with a offense that was so one sided.

    Nah,

Just put up like we did against green bay and we're fine.

Adjusted over a 16 game season:

    Peterson: 544 carries, 3184 yards, 16TD
    Ponder: 256/448, 3744, 48 TD

    Nothing wrong with that!
