Predict the rest of the season.

    Gentlemen and ladies,
I am poking my head out of my textbooks (I have a 4.0 after 3 semesters) to make a bold prediction: We are going to win the division. Read my prediction and tell me what you think.

    Currently our division stands:
    Packers 6-3
    Bears 5-3
    Vikings 3-5

Our next two games are going to be the catalyst that gets this team going.

We are playing the Bears the Week and we will beat them. After all they almost lost to the Bills. We are better than this team and we are getting healthy.

    Week 10
    Packs: 6-3
    Bears: 5-4
    Vikes: 4-5

The Packers come off the bye and into the Metrodome. I dream that our fans aren't fickle and really bring the noise. I think we are a different team at home and we beat the Packers in a close game. The bears lose to Miami in Miami.

    Week 11
    Pack: 6-4
    Vikings: 5-5
    Bears: 5-5

The next three games shoe the packers at Atl, home to San Fran and at Det. I give them 2 wins and a loss to the Falcons at home (Ryan has only lost 1 game at home)
The Bears Play Philly, Det, and NWE. Two home games but I believe they lose both and beat DET.
Lastly, We play Washington, Buf, Giants. I see us beating Washington and Buff and losing to the Giants.

    Week 14:
    Packers 8-5
    Vikings 7-6
    Bears 6-7

Our last three games leave us with CHI at Home, Philly and Det. I see us beating Chi and Det and losing to Philly due to Vick 2.0 (Some guy kept saying he was a great QB...who was that guy)
The Packers play NWE, Giants and Chi. I think they lose to NWE and the Giants and Beat Chi. The Giants are not able to rest players because Philly keeps the pressure on them.
The Bears please Us, the Jets and Greenbay and lose all three games.

    Week 17:
    Vikings 9-7*
    Greenbay 9-7
    Bears: 6-10

*We go 5-1 in the division and the Packers go 4 and 2 in the division.

I think all that studying has made you insane.

Chilly has proven he can't win on the road. 4 left and Detroit is no joke.

    At best we go 8-8.

    Our 4 road games are
    Chi, Det, Philly, Wash.
Do you really think we can't win these games?

Detroit is no joke, but can you name the backup for stafford?

Lions are fearing he's done for the year with a seperated right shoulder.

    Shaun Hill.

BTW his last 2 games he had a rating of 118 and 100. Don't sleep on him either.

    No predictions.

I would like nothing better than for the team to win the Sb and for Childress to show up the next day on his way to Disneyland with a plate of crow. But I am not going to get the fork out yet.

i like the break down and agree we can go 9-7 i think we get a heart breaker somewhere and make 8-8 though. but first we have to take down the bears and percy and AP can handle them.

Re: Predict the rest of the season.

Your breakdown looks quite possible to me. It will all depend o how we come out of the next two, though, Lose either of those divisional games and we are done, IMO.

I do worry a bit about Washington as well, as it is away against a decent team. My pre-season breakdown had us losing to either Philly or Washington, but we've been worse than I had expected and could end up losing both of these. Then again, we are only two games back from where I had us at this point, due to the Miami and New Orleans losses.

Then again, we have not yet had that game this year where we should lose, but come up big. There's always one of those to go along with the equally improbable loss to a bad team. So maybe we whup up on the Giants or something. You never know.

We're actually still in good shape in Conference tiebreak standings, as three of our losses are to AFC teams. 9-7 might get us in even if the Packers end up ahead of us.

Once more, though, it all comes down to these next two. We need to win them both, or the hole may be too deep to dig out of.
