We did not get to see the full Vikings team take the field before the media access period ended, but receiver Marcus Robinson did come out with a baseball cap on. He didn’t look as if he would take part in drills but it appears Robinson might be making progress in his attempt to return from a lower-back injury.

Linebacker Napoleon Harris continues to wear a cast on his dislocated left wrist and it appears doubtful he will play Sunday against the Packers. Cornerback Fred Smoot also remains in Mississippi with his family after his half-brother was killed Sunday in a car accident.

The Vikings did make a practice squad move today, releasing C.J. Brooks and signing center Norm Katnik (6-4, 280 pounds). Katnik, a second-year player from USC, is the second practice squad addition for the
Vikings in two days. Defensive tackle Alex Guerrero joined the team Wednesday.
