The only team that is more disappointing than our 1-2 start has to be the Ravens heck their Defense can't even win games for them right now.

    Re: Power Rankings: Week 3

So we're 2 1/2 point underdogs to Atlanta. And the way Tice was talking I almost think he's just waiting for the Bye wee so he can get some people healed up and his offensive line straightened around and ready for the rest of the season. I almost got the feeling reading the Star/Trib on the net today that he's almost giving up on winning the Atlanta game and looking at the rest of the season.
You tell me -- doesn't the following sound like he's looking past the Atlanta game...

Scattered glimpses of the future seemed evident Monday at Winter Park, even as the Vikings celebrated their first victory of the season. Twelve days from today, the Vikings will enjoy their bye weekend -- a tantalizing timeframe that should impact the way they approach this weekend's game at Atlanta.

Injured players could steal two weeks of recovery time. Unsettled positions could move into an experimental phase in hopes of establishing a starter by the Oct. 16 game at Chicago.

Yes, Vikings officials were considering those scenarios and others in the wake of Sunday's 33-16 victory over New Orleans. Safety Darren Sharper, who missed the game because of a sprained left knee, acknowledged he might sit out the Falcons game even after backup Willie Offord suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Nickel back Brian Williams also appeared destined for a two-week hiatus after spraining the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. Meanwhile, the Vikings were in the early stages of planning a personnel rotation along the offensive line with the idea of establishing a five-man starting group by the middle of next month.

we need to be 2-2 going into the bye. i really think that if our oline can give Memo room we will come out victorious this week in ATL. ATL is giving some major yardage this year in the run. and if Culp can throw to 8 different people like he always does, we will give ATL problems. now if our Safety backups can get the job done.

Sharper is not ruled out for the Atlanta game.

If he can go we will be OK.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
