Postseason Possibilities?
Lets break down what needs to happen for the Vikes to make the playoffs:
Division: Tonight's game doesn't matter.. if the Bears beat GB they win the division, they lose and the Vikes win out the Vikes win the divsion.
Wild Card: Well the Vikes lose the tiebreaker to just about everyone.. they need to pass Dallas, Atlanta and Washington basically. Best bet is to win out and have Chicago and Washington win this week and then those three to each lose once in the next two weeks. Each team has losable games so this is still possible. Need a lot of help but they can still do it... Go Vikes!!

I haven't looked into the schedules in detail, but looks like you're right on at first glance. The best bet is to take the NFCN, but our buddy Favre needs to do his job and the Vikes need to come back strong.
It ain't over 'till it's over.

Technically, we're still very much alive. You never know, the Packers could pull one out of their butts, like Favre is known to do from time to time, and the game is in Lambeau. Week 17 could be interesting.

Re: Postseason Possibilities?
After looking at the schedule, the best scenario is for Ron Mexico and the boys to beat the Bears tonight followed by a Bears loss at Lambeau followed by a Vikings win to start off 2006.
The Vikings win the NFCN outright.
Screw the tie-breakers.

Decision time
Do vikings fans want the bears to win or lose tonight?
A bears loss will put the falcons ahead of the vikes in the wildcard race, and the bears still would clinch the division with a win against the pack next week. A bears win would keep the vikes tied with the falcons and maybe dallas too.
What do you guys think?

Re: Postseason Possibilities?
Guys if the packers beat the bears the vikes have the tiebreaker. A Falcon win tonight would really hurt the vikes chances at the wild card... its pretty simple, we need the bears to win tonight just in case, then lose the next two while the vikes win out and the vikes have the division. IF the Bears beat the Pack next week the Vikes can't win the division. Therefore a Bear win tonight HELPS not HURTS us! Meanwhile a FALCON win would put the Vikes further out of the wild card, that all said, we need the bears to win tonight.

Re: Decision time
I want a bears win, becuase A: I think thier gonna win already and B: our shot at taking the divison just basicaly closed IMO so the wildcard is really our only shot now.

Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

Re: Decision time
Your team can win this game on the Falcons it has no benefit for us if you lose but we have to have Green Bay beat you and then us to win out to win the division.
