I wouldn't be opposed to trading Pat Williams.

I can't justify it for a defensive end. If he can't stay in shape though there really is no point in keeping him around.

Could be an interesting move but it would weaken our run defense.

The team also needs someone who will be playing full speed in the forth. Pat did a good job last year, but childress doesnt want last years results, he wants better results and so do most fans. If he doesnt want to improve ship him. I highly doubt thats the case though, i'm pretty positive he will be plugging the hole for the vikings all year. There is nothing wrong with calling someone out who did not come to camp ready.

I don't see why the Cowboys would want to do this either. I know I wouldn't want to trade away someone as talanted as Ellis for a guy that is older than him and is having weight problems.

All of these rumors! This is like high school all over again! "Didja hear? T.O. went to Bledsoes house last night....they had to have been making out! Omigosh, Keyshawn is gonna be pissed!"
    Bwahahahahahahaha!!

Brilliant stuff.. Reminds me of this from my now-favourite TV show:

"This is classic Tammy! Trey broke up with Tammy because Maureen Conallen saw Tammy flirting with Mort Tinmey at a party but she was only doing it to make Trey jealous because, you know, she thought Trey secretly liked Erin Hennibry, but Trey didn't like Erin Hennibry it was all a bunch of bull!"

Tampa 2 or not, this would be incredibly idiotic.

Anyone who watched Pat Williams play last season knows he was the MVP of the Vikings defense...not Winfield, not Sharper, not Kevin Williams...Fat Pat. And he was the same in Buffalo.

Work his butt off, get him in shape, but please let him be the anchor in the middle of the Vikings line come the start of the season.

Anyone who remembers Jerry Ball during his stint with the Vikings....Fat Pat is the same kind of impact player in the middle.

Yeah that's what we need to do, make the Cowboys and even better team than they already are. We will not be trading Pat for anyone. He will be in shape and ready to play by the end of camp.

ONLY ONE player I'm in favor of trading him for...and you all should know who that is...it would probably upgrade our defense and compensate for the loss of Phat Pat...although I don't really want to see him traded!

its not really that he cant stay in shape, he was asked to drop around 40 pounds - lost about 15, thats pretty good.

its more a matter of just not meeting the goals set for him rather than not staying in shape, he wasnt "in shape" last year and was arguably the most important member of the defense - they just wanted him slimmer and faster
