    2. Steve Hutchinson, Minnesota: His play dropped down some after the move from Seattle to Minnesota as a free agent, but he's still near the top.

wtf Alan Faneca of the Steelers didnt even make the top 5?
??? I'd have to question his list, but I guess thats his opinion.

It is pretty telling that only one player(Hutch) was in the top 5 of there position. Hopefully Birk can get back to form and Richardson can stay healthy. I don't think there is much chance that we will have a top 5 QB or WR any time soon.

I saw somwhere, not sure if it was the Sporting news, or where, but it listed the top 5
guards & centers in 1 catagory..Hutch & Birk both made the list.

My bad, I didn't see the defensive rankings. Still that is even more telling that we only have one defensive player in the top 5 at there positions. I don't even know who on the defense could break into the top 5 next year.

It was Sporting News, they ranked teams top to bottom in the NFC and in the AFC for their respective centers and guards.
If I recall correctly, the Bears and the Vikes topped the list, in that order.

He must have been smoking something great when he decided to put Fred Taylor in the top 5 RB's... :

Prisco used to be the writer for the Jacksonville fish wrap when I lived there in the early to mid-90's.
He was awful then, and is only marginally better now.
