Thread: Pope cut along with 3 others

pope is kinda surprising becuz of his experience, but i've heard nothing about him during camp and saw nothing from him in games.
about having so many good lbs i wouldnt go that far.
i mean losing farwell and cutting a vet leaves us with a lot of unproven commodities.
with the way injuries have hit us already this year i think lb is a position that we can't afford to lose more without taking a major hit.

Yes, I'm hoping that happens as well.
Leman is coming off a foot injury and hasn't played much this preseason, but I think a year on the practice squad will do him good.
He has the potential to be the next Zach Thomas.
He was my favorite LB to watch last season.

Ciurciu was probably going to make the team regardless, now especially with Farwell out we need him.
He may not be the best solid LB, but he's a very good special teams player, and we'll be needing his contribution there, whether you believe that or not.


I'm surprised to see Pope go before Leeman and Herron, but then again cutting Pope sends a message to Erin, Rufus, and Vinny to step it up in this last game.
Leeman should be cut later, Herron might make the practice squad, he was on there last year I believe since he was in training camp in '07.
